Track work order status and due dates
Updated July 16, 2026
Work orders are the tasks your team executes inside a project. Keeping their status and dates current is how everyone knows what's done and what's next.
Statuses
A work order moves through five statuses: Planned, In progress, Completed, On hold, and Canceled. New work orders start as Planned.
Change status and priority on the web
From a project sidebar card, or on the work order detail:
- Select the status badge and pick the new status.

- Select the priority badge to set Low, Medium, High, or Critical.

You can also change status and priority in the create/edit form.
Set a due date
Open Edit on the work order to set the Due date, assignees, project, and schedule. In the list, the Due date column flags work that is overdue or due soon while the work order is still open.
Filter your work
On the Work orders list, switch between All work orders and My work orders, and filter by Project.
On the mobile app
- Open the work order and tap the status pill.
- In Update status, pick the new status and add an optional Note.

- Tap Confirm.
To change the due date, assignees, or schedule on mobile, open Edit work order.
Who can change a work order
The owner, an assignee, or a team owner/admin can change status, priority, dates, and assignments. Other members see it as read-only.
