Keep measurements on a project

Updated July 6, 2026

A measurement is a session captured in the field — a set of readings (and any photos) from one job. Measurements are created in the mobile app and reviewed on the web.

How measurements are created

In the mobile app, a measurement is created when you:

  • capture a reading from a connected Minipa instrument,
  • run a continuous recording, or
  • enter one manually.

See Record a measurement for the full capture flow.

Measurements tie into your project so the data isn't loose:

  • From a project, open the measurements panel and Link an existing measurement.
  • From a work order or asset, link the measurement from its detail page.
  • On mobile, start a measurement from a work order, asset, or project and it links automatically.

A measurement can be linked to work orders and assets directly; its project link is managed from the project (or from a linked work order).

Add media to a measurement

Attach photos or videos to a measurement from its Media tab.

If your team has the media time limit enabled, media can only be added within 30 minutes of the measurement being created.

Review on the web

See Review measurements and readings on the web to browse, filter, and export the data.
