Build a checklist with Linky

Ask Linky helps owners and admins add, rename, reorder, and remove checklist questions. On the web it is the Linky avatar in the checklist builder toolbar — not the floating Help bubble (that searches these articles).

On the web

In the sidebar, open Checklists.

Select Create, or open a draft to edit.

In the builder toolbar, select the Linky avatar (Ask Linky) — not the floating Help bubble.

Ask Linky to add, rename, or reorder questions, then select Send.

If Linky wants to remove fields, Review checklist changes appears. Select Approve.

Review the list, then select Save draft.

When the list looks right, select Publish. Linky does not publish for you.

In the app

On Dashboard, tap the Linky head (Talk to Linky) and ask Linky to build or edit a checklist.

When Linky shows a draft card, tap Publish checklist. The eye opens Preview checklist.

If Linky wants to remove fields, tap Approve changes or Reject.

Or open Team checklists and tap Create checklist. Editing uses the same web builder, including Ask Linky.

How to on the web

  1. Open Checklists in the sidebar, then Create or edit a draft.
  2. Select the Linky avatar (Ask Linky) in the toolbar. The panel opens beside the builder.
  3. Type what you want (add a required yes/no, move a photo question, rename a field). You can Attach file — up to 3 images, PDFs, or CSVs per message — to recreate questions from a paper list or PDF on this draft. That is not Work style (no Accept/Discard queue; report and quote PDFs stay there).
  4. Select Send. Use Stop if a reply is still running.
  5. If Linky wants to remove fields, Review checklist changes appears. Select Approve or Reject.
  6. Revert changes from this turn undoes that reply. Remember for later? saves a team preference — Confirm or Cancel.
  7. Save draft or Publish when the list looks right. Linky does not publish for you.

Chat history and New chat keep threads per checklist. Suggested questions appear when the panel is empty.

How to in the app

  • Dashboard Linky head (Talk to Linky): ask Linky to draft or edit a checklist. A draft card can show Preview checklist, Publish checklist, Approve changes, or Reject.
  • Team checklists → create or edit opens the same web builder in the app, including Ask Linky.

If Linky is not available for your team, the avatar and chat tools stay hidden.
